Miracle Baby

Early this a.m. the soft spoken nurse told me, "Your baby will live. I know he will live because he is a miracle baby. I have never seen a baby with 6 nuchal cords live. He is a miracle so he is meant to live."
That was a beautiful moment for me.

Later this a.m. the next nurse marvelled at his eating. It is now 15mls, which looks like about a 1/2oz. She said baby's his age just don't eat like he's doing...

For now I am profoundly grateful.

All I can think is, you deserved this flippin' miracle. Well, if anyone ever does deserve them. I'm so glad the nurses are reassuring and positive. I wish I knew how long you'd be there...I could come see you, even if Trey is off limits. I'll even wear a mask so I don't expose you to my germs :) !

I am so happy for you! Just as I was leaving town on Friday to go camping, a friend updated me on Blue's FB post saying Trey was born. I have worried about you guys all weekend as my little nephew was born at 29wks, weighing 3lbs10oz, and his little body had to fight trial after trial to survive. It took over 3 months to get him out of the hospital, and for most of that time they still didn't know if he'd survive. I SOOO didn't want you to have to go through that. It sounds like Trey is doing wonderful, and just as the others posts say: YOU DESERVE IT! I know I haven't seen you in forever, but I just bawled reading these blog updates (I haven't even unpacked yet!) What an amazing story of saving your son's life by being in tune with the spirit and from your experience with Jackson & Claire. Seems like they were paving the way for him to live by their own sacrifices. I will be praying for Trey's health and strength!
